Bayern Munich have told Manchester United they can sign Jerome Boateng this summer, reports say.
Boateng is eager to join a new club this month, but talks with Paris Saint-Germain have stalled.
Bayern are happy to grant Boateng’s wish to exit the club, but want at least £50million for the centre-back.
The Daily Mail claim Boateng has now been offered to United as the Germans look to offload one of their star men.
United have baulked at asking prices for several world class defenders this summer, with Tottenham demanding over £70m for Toby Alderweireld and Leicester City slapping a £65m price tag on Harry Maguire’s head.
It remains to be seen if United would be interested in signing Boateng at that price, but the Red Devils do want to bring the German to Old Trafford.

United are reportedly ready to offer Anthony Martial in exchange for Boateng, but Bayern are not thought to be keen on that idea.
Bayern want to cash in on Boateng and would not be interested in signing Martial for at least another 12 months.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign another centre-back this summer and United are locked in talks with Barcelona for Yerry Mina.
The Colombian defender has agreed personal terms with United, but Barcelona are yet to come to terms on a transfer fee.
Mourinho is happy to bring Mina on board, but the United boss’ head may be turned by Bayern’s offer.
