ROMA were trolled after Malcom scored his first Barcelona goal against them – but went on to produce a stunning 4-2 comeback.
The Serie A club “muted” the ex-Bordeaux midfielder’s name on Twitter before kick-off after he snubbed them for Barca at the last minute in July.
Defender Kostas Manolas had also taken the mick out of him, saying: “I don’t know who he is, I don’t know him.
“Before he signed for Barcelona, even he didn’t know his name.”
So when Malcom made it 2-1 to Barca in last night’s International Champions Cup clash, Roma were hit with a social media backlash.
Rafinha had given the Catalans a sixth minute lead before Stephan El Shaarawy cancelled it out in the 35th minute.
Malcom then found the back of the net after some impressive work from youngster Ballou Tabla.
And the £36.5million Brazilian almost grabbed another as he sent a free-kick inches wide.
Twitter users responded to the club’s tweet announcing his goal with a number of hilarious memes, GIFs and images of Malcom celebrating.
But Roma had the last laugh as Eusebio Di Francesco’s men fought back to snatch the win.
A late flurry with goals coming from Alessandro Florenzi, Bryan Cristante and Diego Perotti saw the Italians run out winners in Texas.
