Harlequins boss Paul Gustard has described new signing Paul Lasike as a player with ‘enormous game-changing potential’.

Former Chicago Bears NFL player Lasike will move to Quins from American rugby union side Utah Warriors.

The 28-year-old centre left American Football last year and has since won six rugby union caps for the United States.

He starred when the US beat Scotland 30-29 in Texas earlier this summer.

Quins head of rugby Gustard said: ‘I am delighted Paul is joining us for the start of a new era at Harlequins.

‘He is a player who has enormous game-changing potential.

New Zealand-born Lasike played full back during his stint with the Bears.

‘Playing rugby in the US and representing them at international level has been an awesome experience,’ Lasike told Quins TV.
