ENGLAND star Sam Curran obliterated India’s top order with three quick wickets on day two of the First Test… and Twitter absolutely loved it.

The Surrey seamer, 20, changed the game as he broke a strong-looking opening partnership from the visitors and just kept going.

Curran reduced a well-set India from 50-0 to 59-3 in a matter of minutes as he took the wickets of Murali Vijay, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan.

Vijay and Dhawan had completely outplayed the opening bowling tandem of James Anderson and Stuart Broad – scoring with ease and rarely in trouble.

However, Joe Root turned to his young left-arm swinger – and Curran rewarded him with a wonderful spell of bowling.

Curran was getting more swing and bowling a braver, more full length as batsman after batsman trudged back to the pavilion.

The Surrey star first had Vijay trapped LBW before having Rahul play-on to his own stumps two balls later.

Curran then had Dhawan caught by Dawid Malan in the slips with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane managing to battle through until lunch.

At the interval, India were 76-3 in reply to England’s somewhat sub-par 287 all out.

Here’s what Twitter had to say on Curran’s morning heroics…
